We were delighted to be awarded €57,271.00 in this mornings announcement by the Dept. of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media of the Sports Capital and Equipment Programme Grants scheme for this year, this money will go towards the ongoing development of our new playing field in Aghavine. A huge word of Thanks must be given to the members of our Field Developement sub. Committee for their hard work, commitment and endless hours of research with the preparation of our request for grant approval first day.

As a result of the fantastic response to the Last Man Standing competition organised and run by the Players Developement Comm. and which was hugely supported by all the players the Developement Comm. in agreement with the players have decided to match the first prize in the competition by donating €500 to a very worthy cause this being the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

And we are off. Our Fe 17s had their first training session this morning. Under the mentoring and coaching of Quintin, Micheál and Sean, wishing the boys every success for the season ahead
