Commiserations to Paudie McMahon and his UCC Team mates on losing out on the above scoreline in the Freshers All Ireland Hurling Final aet. last Thurs. evening in Mallow, great credit is due to Paudie on being a valued member of the Panel all year.

Intermediate Hurling Lge. Div.2

Fr.O Neills 1:16 v Kildorrery 0:17

We travelled to Kildorrery on Sun. last for our second Lge. game of the year, hoping to build on a very good performance from the previous Sun. v Valley Rovers we started the game on a sluggish note and found it difficult to match the pace and work rate of our opponents and with 20 mins. on the Clock we found ourselves 9pts. to 4 in arrears, a couple of positional changes and an upping of the tempo saw us finish the half on the up with the half time score reading 10pts. to 6 in favour of Kildorrery. 

The half time chat had the required response with a huge increase in work rate we took the game to Kildorrery and took control of proceedings with the score line reading 1:12 to 11pts. in our favour with 15 mins .gone again Kildorrery came back at us to level the game with a couple of mins. remaining, our lads sensing that the game was slipping from us made one final push to close out the game with the last 2 scores to see us wining on the above scoreline. It was great to get our first win in Div. 2 minus a couple of our more established Players and already competition for starting places is hoting up which is a pleasant headache for the Management to have. Our next game is in 2 weeks time in Aghavine against Watergrasshill.

Well done to the Scor na bpaisti dancers who won both the East Cork

Final and County Semi-Final in the past week. They now compete in

the County Final on Saturday 21st Mar. Best of luck to all concerned.
