Fr.O Neills 1:15 v Kanturk 2:15

The importance of Aidan Walsh to Kanturk was clearly illustrated in our 1/4 Final C/ship.clash with them when after coming on with 12 mins.to go he scored 4 pts.and won a free which resulted in another pt.which helped in no small way for them to book a semi-final clash v Charleville in this years C/ship.Kanturk created most of the scoring chances in the 1st.half but despite this dominance were only a goal to the good at half time courtesy of 2 well executed 1st half goals,we kept ourselves in the game scoring 6 pts.in the 1st half to leave the half time score at 2:03 to 0:06.

The game improved in the 2nd half and we gave ourselves real hope when we got a good goal of our own this upped the performance from both sides and with 12 mins.to go we led by a pt.Q the introduction of Aidan Walsh and his game deciding scores,try as we did we failed to breakdown the Kanturk reargaurd and they ran out winners on the above scoreline.So our C/ship.aspirations for this year come to a finish, positives to be taken from this year are the introduction of several of our younger players at this level and for the most part they aqquited themselves very well,roll on 2013.
