Fr.O Neills 0:15 v Killeagh/Ita's 1:11

We played our near neighbours Killeagh/Ita's in the 1/2 Final of this years C/ship.in Carrigtwohill on Tues.11th 4 days after having played the 1/4 Final so mental and physical fatigue was a concern going into the game.We got off to the better start scoring the first 2 points of the game through Darragh Sexton and Paudie McMahon,scores were at a premium when Killeagh/Ita's scored a fortunate goal and they duly took control of proceedings from here to the end of the 1st half to lead at the short whistle 1:05 to 0:04.We gradually got ourselves back into the game as the 2nd half went on through some great scores from Paudie,Joe.Millerick and Deccie Dalton to mention just a few.

The dismissal of Killeagh/Ita's centre back David Cahill mid way through the half seemed to galvinise his side all the more with Killeagh/Ita's availing of the opportunities that came their way to keep their noses in front and with time running out we found ourselves 3 pts.behind but through to form the lads kept battling and with Paudie unerring from frees and play we drew level with time almost up and in one last throw of the dice Mark O Keeffe who was now operating at centre forward scored the all important point to see us wining on the above scoreline.This was as tough an hours Hurling you will prob.come across at this level and it showed once again the Heart and commitment we have come to expect from this bunch of lads,we now find ourselves back in the Final for the 3rd time since 2009 against a very good hurling side in Ballincollig which is due to be played the weekend of the 29th /30th of Sept.
