We played Youghal in rnd.4 of the Jnr.2 Hurling lge.in Copperalley on Weds.last,for several reasons we had our smallest panel available to us all year but never the less those present got on on with it,we started well with plenty possesion of the ball especially in the forward line but were finding it difficult to register some scores,we managed to score 4 points in the 1st.half from all this possesion but worringly we had 8 wides into the bargain aswell,our defence to be fair to them were well on top and held Youghal to a single point for the 30mins.The rain clouds arrived during half time and changed the nature of the game,we turned to play with the elements of wind and rain to our backs for the 2nd half and duly proceeded to outscore our opponents 7pts.to 2 to leave the score 11pts.to 3pts.in our favour with 15 mins.gone in the half.Youghal to their credit battled back into the game and scored a goal and 3pts.to reduce the gap to 2pts.with 5 mins.remaining,we took control of proceedings from this point on and fired over 2 more points to win on the above scoreline,credit must be given to the lads for sticking with the task at hand and for having a great attitude on the night in question.
