Our Annual fundraising Golf
Classic is on Thurs. the 7th & Friday the 8th of July
this year and is being played in Youghal Golf Club, We are delighted to
have Denis & Margaret OâFlynn proprietors of OâFlynnâ Mace Srv. Station
Ladysbridge on board again as Main sponsors to our Classic. Teams of 3 will

Premier 2a Hurling League.
Fr. O'Neills 6:11 v Carrigtwohill 2:05.
We had a fine victory in our opening league game
played in Aghavine. Jake Shine opened
the scoring with a fine point this
was quickly followed with a fine goal from Jason
Hankard. Some fine long range
frees from William Abernethy gave us a half time lead
of 3.8 to 1.3.One felt Carrigtwohill would
come more into the game in the second half
but a fine defensive display
early on kept our opponents at bay. Aiden McEvoy at full
back and Brian Kenneally at wingback cleared their lines well
in this period. This game was done and
dusted when Jake doubled the ball
to the net midway through the second half. We held
Carrig to 1.2 in the second half,and
further scores late on gave us a comfortable victory.
I'm sure Carrigtwohill will be a different
outfit when we meet them in the championship.
U16 Premier 2a Hurling League.
Fr. O'Neills 3:11 v Carrigaline 2:07
We followed up our opening victory with
a good away win in Carrigaline. Similar to the
Carrigtwohill game we got early scores
from Jason,Simon Walsh and John Millerick,
which kept us with a healthy lead throughout.
Our midfield of Matthew Cody and Peter
Hassett worked hard throughout and this
gave us a platform for some fine scores.
Ciaran Cuillinane played in goal as he
is only coming back from injury, we were also
short a few regulars so I'm sure the
management will be happy with this result.
Fr. OâNeills 5:07 v Killeagh / Itas 6:07
This game played in Killeagh certainly had plenty of excitement throughout with both
team's having many periods of dominance. It looked as if Killeagh would run riot early
on when they had a 1.2 to 0.0 lead We began to settle at the back and the switches of
Jason and John Millerick up front brought both players into the game. Three goals
in a five minute spell gave us a 3.4 to 2.3 lead at half time. Killeagh dominated again
In the second half with 1.4 without reply in the opening ten minutes. Further goals
from Killeagh gave them a comfortable lead but time was running out when we got
two late goals.We lost by a goal at the finish and the giving away of simple possession
was to prove costly in the final result.
