U14 Feile Report in Passage Sat 7th of May.

On a day for ducks our u14s went to Passage on Saturday to compete in the Feile hurling. We played four games in total meeting carrignabhfear first. We defended well in the first half with Tom Wall at full back playing really well and Paudie o Sullivan in goals making a number of good saves, up front we were creating chances but found it difficult to take them. Darragh Higgins converted a free and Ciaran Mchugh scored a great point but we lost 1-3 to 0-2. Courseys rovers gave us a though battle in game two, we missed two good free chances in the first half but with Diarmuid O Neill making a return from injury clearing great ball and Sean O Riordan working really hard in the middle of the field we won with a converted free by Darragh Higgins. Watergrasshill were the opposition in the next game and threatened to overrun us leading 1-2 to a point at half time. We got stuck in the second half with Eoin Bernard and James Millerick making good block downs and Niall Flanagan scoring a poachers goal to give us a chance. Michael O Leary worked really hard at centre forward and helped create chances for Conor Green and Edmund Motherway. We lost on a score 1-4 to 1-1.

Our last game against passage saw us up the scoring considerably with two goals from Ciaran McHugh and some long range free taking by Tom Wall. A number of the u12 panel travelled and made a great impact on the day. Final score was Fr O Neill 6-5 Passage 0-1.
