Fé 21 B Football Co. 1/4 Final

Fr. O'Neills 1:11 v Aghabullogue 2:18

Commiserations to our Fé21 Footballers on their loss to Aghabullogue in the 1/4 Final of the Co. C/ship. last Sat. Evening played in Brian Dillons, forced to line out minus the services of 4 of our starting 15 from the East Cork Final was to prove costly against a well coached Aghabullogue outfit and in the end we were beaten by the better Team on the day, the best of luck to our opponets going forward.

U14 Hurling C/ship.

On Sunday evening we travelled to Kinsale with confidence, to take them on in the first round of the championship. We settled early and got our first point from a Sean O Riordan free. We created a number or chances with Brian Coleman making some good runs through their defence, however we were wastefull with the final shot from frees as well as play and were thankful that a long delivery went all the way to their net to give us the lead after 20mins. Evan O Keffee was having a great game at corner back as was Tom Wall who made some good clearances. Kinsale had a good spell up to half time but Conor Green got the last score of the half after good work on the wing. Half time score 1-3 to 0-7. We were against the wind on the restart and took the game to kinsale but again we found it hard to convert the possession we had at times. Ciaran Mchugh had to go off at half time and Michael O Leary got injured after 15mins of the second half and both were a loss as they were playing well. Kinsale with getting some long range points now and had a few from frees as well. Diarmuid O Neill defended herolicly when their midfielder ran at us and James Murphy cleared some great ball too. With Eoin Bernard and Darragh Higgins hurling to the end and James Millerick playing really well in midfield we had one last chance to draw the game but it was not to be as we lost on a score of 2-4 to 0-13.

We finished the game with 4 under 12s on the field which will only stand to them in terms of experience down the line. Well done lads on a very competitive performance.
