THE BATTLE OF GARRYVOE.

Garryvoe is an area between Ladysbridge and Shanagarry which has long been a disputed catchment area for the GAA Clubs of Fr. O'Neills and Russell Rovers. On the 18th of December in Garryvoe Hotel at 3pm this dispute will be settled once and for all when members of both Clubs will come face to face in the boxing ring in THE BATTLE OF GARRYVOE. Will the Black and Amber team emerge black and blue or will the recently crowned County Champions be runners-up this time..... it's all to fight for. Tickets are available locally or from Club members. This is expected to be a sell out so get your ticket early and wear your Club colours on the day. Keep an eye out for some trash talking, announcement of bouts, fighter profiles and a couple of competitions over the coming weeks. Stand up or be counted out.

The Launch of The Battle of Garryvoe took place in St. Colman’s Boxing Club in Shanagarry last Fri. A number of Boxers from both Clubs were training hard on the night and are eagerly looking forward to the big day.
