games in Killeagh, Ballynoe, Aghada, Kilta Og. These games have been well

attended by players with all parents giving plenty support which is

nice to see. At the final blitz which was played in Killeagh Cork

U14 East Football League Final.     .

Aghinagh 4:14 v Fr O'Neill's 4:08.

In a high scoring game played in Ballygarvan Aghinagh completed the double

by defeating Fr O'Neills by six points in this east league Final. Having gone in

at the break with a three goal defecit we needed a lively start to the second half

but Aghinagh with a goal and a point in the first five minutes gave them that

cushion which they held throughout. To their credit we got the margin

down to four points with time running out only for Aghinagh to get two late

points.

Our U14 Footballers had a very good year getting to the League Final and

also getting to the Championship Semi-Final only to be defeated by

Aghinagh on both occasions. Our opponents also won a Feile Football

title and were probably that bit too strong for this grade.

U13 Hurling Plate.

Mallow 5:5 v Fr.O'Neills 1:02.

Under lights played at a fine Mallow venue we ended our year being

beaten by a physically stronger Mallow oufit. Not being able to convert

scores with plenty chances and this was to be our downfall as Mallow

went on and took two early goals which set them on their way.

To our credit we never gave up and some fine defending by

Mallow kept our scoring to a goal and two points.
