Prem. Minor 2 Football C/ship.
We were fixed to play Ahan Gaels from West Cork in the 1st rnd. of this years C/ship. on last Weds. night the 25th unfortunately a call came late that evening from Rebel Og to tell us that the Carrigaline pitch was water logged so the game did not go ahead, it is now proposed that it could go ahead on the week end of the 10th - 12th April.

Jnr. A Football C/ship.
Fr.O Neills 0:09 v Castlelyons 0:06
We showed tremendous battling qualities en-route to this victory over Castlelyons in Dungourney on Sunday morning last in the first round of the ‘Michael O’Connor Motor Factors’ East Cork JAFC.
Playing with a ferocious wind in the first half we probably should have had more to show for the conditions at half time, we started well enough, going into a three point lead after fifteen minutes with Kevin O’Sullivan and Padraig McMahon doing the damage for us.
Castlelyons fought well and maintained possession of the football for long periods in the first half and were rewarded with two fine scores from Ronan Bransfield and Alan Fenton to draw within a point after 20 minutes.
We did pick it up again and put some vital points on the board approaching the break as Mark O’Keefe and Mc Mahon added a further three points to see us lead by four points at the short whistle.
People could be forgiven for thinking that Castlelyons with the aid of the very strong wind would go on and dominate this game, but the wind never won a game yet and we had other ideas.
Following a series of poor wides from Castlelyons in the opening five minutes of the second half, we broke down the field and fired over a well taken pt.
Castlelyons drew to within three points on the 44th minute when Alan Fenton pointed a free but we came back with Padraig Higgins sending one over after a scoreless ten minutes of play which was down to some dogged defending on our part, with the outstanding Mark O’Keefe leaving nothing pass him in the half back line.
another Fenton free on the 56th minute made it a three point game, Padraig McMahon scored another vital point from play and we went on to see this one out despite a very late Alan Fenton free. As I said last week when reporting on a couple of our Lge. Games one should never read too much into these games as its C/ship. is what its all about so well done to all involved and roll on the draw for round 3.
Scorers for Fr. O’Neill’s: P McMahon 0-4, K O’Sullivan and M O’Keefe 0-2 each, P Higgins 0-1.

Cork Minor Hurlers 2015
The best of luck to both Billy Dunne, Deccie Dalton and all involved with the Cork Minor Hurlers when they take on Limerick in the 1st rnd. of this years C/ship. next Weds.the 8th April in Pr. Ui Rinn at 7pm, It is indeed a great Honour for both the Dunne and Dalton Families, our Club and the Parish to have 2 Players on the Panel this year, in fact this is Billy's 3rd year on the panel so all roads lead to Pr. Ui Rinn next Weds. to cheer on Cork and the boys.
