Fr. O’Neills AGM

The AGM of our Adult Club took place last Fri. 11^th Dec. in Aghavine a good crowd attended on the night. Our Secretary's report gave a very detailed report of a busy and sucessfull 2015 with our Treasurers report showing the finances of the Club to be in a very healthy state and after our Chairmans address it was time for the election of Officers and Comm. for 2016 which resulted as follows:

Aherne, Aidan Swayne, Billy Harrington, Shane Harrington, Paddy McMahon, Billy Pomphrett, Luke Swayne, Johny Dunne, Dean Parker, John Barry, Miceal Broderick, Declan Hennessy, William Broderick, Eoin Griffin, Robbie Dalton, Eugene Kenefick, John Hayes. Following on from this our outgoing Chairman Mr. John V. Aherne was presented with a token of the Clubs appreciatian by incoming Chairman Mr. Michael Hegarty in recognition of his 5 years of service as Chairman. The best of luck to all our Officers and Comm. for 2016.

Fr. O'Neills GAA Golf Society

The AGM of our Golf Society was held last Mon. Night in Aghavine with a good size crowd in attendance a review of the past year took place by way of our Secretary's report and our Treasurer's report showed the Society's finances to be in a healthy state after the years activities it was then time for outgoing Cpt. Josephine Swayne to hand over the baton to incoming Cpt. Seamus Joyce who then announced Shane Harrington as his vice-captain for 2016, the election of Officers and the Comm. followed and resulted as follows Secretary: Donal Creedon, Treasurer: Miriam McMahon, Fixtures Secretary: Robbie Dalton, Ex. Officio: Josephine Swayne, Comm: Maurice Conway, Michael Quinn, Mary Pomphrett, Martin Kenneally, Dermot Carroll and Declan Beausang. GAA Club Chairman John V. Aherne thanked the Society for their help with the Clubs Golf Classic and wished the incoming Officers and Comm. all the best for 2016. Our Xmas outing takes place on Sun. 27^th Dec. to Youghal Golf Club it is a 14 Hole Singles the Time Sheet will be in O'Flynns Mace Service Station from Tues. 15^th  onwards, if anybody is thinking of joining the Society in 2016 we will have a number of guest slots available for this outing so be sure to put your name on the Time Sheet or contact Captain Seamus Joyce about same on 086-8263913.

East Cork Jnr. A Football Final

Here we are a week before Christmas and we are busily preparing for another East Cork Final, why this Final has gone so late is puzzling to say the least but this is where we are, its been a long and demanding year on the majority of our young players and great credit is due to them for having the mindset and determination to keep going at this late stage in the year so the best of luck to Manager Eugene his selectors Liam, Michael, Colm and all the players on Sat. next v Erins Own.

Annual Long Púc

Our Annual Long Púc takes place this year on St. Stephens day starting at 12 Noon in Ladysbridge, teams of 3 costing €5.00 per head any mix with prizes for the first 3 teams and a prize for the best Juvenile team on the day, presentation of prizes will take place in the Thatched Inn immediately afterwards with finger food being served.
